Bavaria moves Liberal.
Sunday’s Bavarian vote shines like the good deed in a naughty world.
The Green Party, running on a clear committment to open borders, liberal and global values and the fight against Climate change doubled its vote, won outright in Munich, became a political force and may be the start of a new political generation.
Merkel’s Conservative coalition, currying favour with a perceived populist move to the right, lost ground. The far right zenophobic “Alternative for Germany” lost out badly.
The nation of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms and Thomas Mann may at last be moving centre stage as a world force in capitalist liberalism.
Watch this column and look out for the next regional elections in 2 weeks time in Hesse.
Have a good day, James.
