The CVs matter. As professiionals, you are selling talent and experience so the relevant details need to be immediately up front. You are also starting to build identity and credibility, so the photography must reflect this. Finally, each CV must be laid out on a common format, so that “the irritable panel member” can quickly compare, understand, interrogate, etc.
Start the CVs with a group color photograph of the Partner i/c of client relationship, the team leader and the other quoted CV members. The photo should be informal, business like, sunny, color, named and bespoke.
Each CV then has a solo head and shoulders photograph, color, sunny, business like but candidly informal.
The CVs all follow the same layout in the same font as the rest of the document and are written and edited specifically for the project in question.
SPECIAL PROJECT SKILLS
This has been touched on already at several points in this review. The key points are
- Keep the references strictly relevant
- Take trouble to state the connections and relevance fully and robustly
- Quantify, give relevant details in particular £, profitability, repeat orders, numbers of users, awards won.
- Illustrate with brilliant photographs and also with sketches and graphics.
